Together

Being alone isn’t fun. It’s always better with more. The world we live in today is a lot different than it was 50 years ago. Today, we are isolated from one another. We don’t really “talk” anymore, we text. We don’t talk to our neighbors anymore because when we arrive at our homes, we pull in the garage and close the door. There are no more shopping trips to the mall or the market for groceries because now, we don’t have to leave our homes to buy these things. They are sent directly to our front door through delivery. We are becoming isolated and friendless.

I look at this picture of these Hope House girls and I see friendship. I see connection. These girls are family. While living at the Hope House, their family is far away. They can come and visit, but day in and day out, they aren’t there. BUT, their “sisters" are.  In Ecclesiastes it says that “two are better than one, because if they fall, one will lift up the other.” Together, we can weather the storms of life and celebrate victories. Together, we provide hope and a future for these girls. We are grateful to those that may not be physically here in Ecuador, but you are cheering for the Hope House, you are praying for these girls, you are a support and you believe that lives are being changed. Thank you for being a part of what is happening at the Hope House. We are all in this together.
